Some folks are singing ‘Turn out the lights, the party’s over…” and some are entertaining themselves by bitchin’, same as they’ve done all season long. Many of these so-called ‘fans’ spend year after year doing the same. They aren’t ‘fans’, they are pessimists, cynics and ne’re-say-wells who get their jollies by criticizing, berating and second-guessing. ‘They’ had another great season! ‘They’ should be happy, so…take off aye!

Kevin Pillar has been raking in Buffalo ever since he was last sent down for showing emotion after being pinch-hit for, which, on a team of similar ‘heart-on-their-sleeve’ players such as the Jays are, was a joke! Unfortunately, ever SINCE his demotion, the joke has been on the Jays with their abysmal results. Pillar SHOULD have been called up weeks ago when, as reported here, his Buffalo manager Gary Allenson went on the record saying that he belonged in the majors. He has hit in 25 of his last 27 games with 6 home runs and 24 ribbies over that span. For the season in Buffalo he is hitting .323 with an OBP of .359.

Blue Jays Playoff Hopes Dwindling

The Toronto Blue Jays are in a tough position. This was evident ever since teams like the Baltimore Orioles, Kansas City Royals, Detroit Tigers and Seattle Mariners began playing consistent baseball. At one point, Toronto had a significant advantage in their division due to the struggles of Tampa Bay, New York and Boston. Baltimore was always going to stick around but I don’t think too many people had them playing as well as they are now.
